What to do

A blank map, a hidden search area, jumping GPS and an incorrect heading need different help.

  1. 1Map tiles missing: Check your internet connection and let the map view reload. Keep tour and app data. Compass calibration does not repair a blank background map, and a blank map does not prove progress was lost.
  2. 2Search area hidden: Search fog can be part of the tour. Use the visible navigation and, if needed, Reveal search area. Check the displayed token cost before confirming; revealing is not a free map reload.
  3. 3Position or distance jumping: Stop in a safe place and wait for more accurate GPS. Check precise location access. Compass calibration does not improve GPS position. Compare the display with your actual surroundings.
  4. 4Arrow or heading incorrect: Remove a magnetic case if present and keep away from metal. Turn the device slowly and check whether the heading follows. If no usable heading sensor is available, extra location permissions alone will not help. Do not follow an unreliable arrow.
