The iOS client contains Apple sign-in, but the complete public provider and release path is not proven.

Tour resume requires a safe snapshot

Only a successfully started, account-bound and valid tour can resume. Generation and authoritative verification are not fully offline.

Check that the same account is active and connect to the internet. Use the offered continuation. After a temporary failure, reopen GFL online, let the app check the state and continue if that action is offered. A general “not available” message does not prove progress is lost. Keep the existing data. Choose “End tour & plan new” deliberately: it closes the current tour. Hint and skip tokens already used are not refunded. Do not uninstall, clear app data or sign out as a recovery step.

GPS and compass vary by device

Buildings, metal, cases, weather and device sensors can affect accuracy and heading.

A blank map, a hidden search area, jumping GPS and an incorrect heading need different help. Stop in a safe place and wait for more accurate GPS. Check precise location access. Compass calibration does not improve GPS position. Compare the display with your actual surroundings.

Push may be missing in a test build or device

Permission, native modules, device registration, power saving and the operating system affect optional notifications.

App preferences, device permission, a local test and delivery from the server are separate checks. Open Profile → Settings → Push notifications. Read the status and choose the matching case. A missing message alone does not prove a device or server fault. Do not uninstall, clear app data or end a tour to test notifications. Marketing remains optional.

Public Gallery is disabled

Feed, publishing, moderation and public report/block functions are not enabled.
